The single purpose of GhostSweep History is to help users manage and clean their browsing history. The extension operates as a privacy tool that allows users to selectively identify and remove specific sensitive URLs from their browser's local history log.

2. Information We Collect

A. Data Processed Locally (Never Transmitted)

The extension processes the following data exclusively on your local device to perform its core functions:

• Browsing History & URLs: We access your local history log to scan for specific keywords or titles you have chosen to remove. This scanning happens entirely within your browser.
• Page Titles & Meta Tags: We analyze the titles and meta-data of visited pages to detect sensitive content (e.g., adult content labels).
• User Preferences: Your settings (e.g., Auto-Delete status, Custom Blocklists) are stored locally using Chrome's storage.local API.

B. Data Transmitted to Third Parties

We transmit minimal data only when necessary for verification purposes:

• License Keys: If you purchase the "Pro" version, your License Key is sent via a secure, encrypted connection to our payment provider (Gumroad) to verify validity. No browsing history is attached to this request.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information purely to provide the extension's functionality:

• To automatically detect and delete specific history entries based on your settings.
• To allow you to manually clean your history log.
• To verify your purchase status and unlock premium features.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information or browsing history to others.

4. Permissions Explained

To function correctly, GhostSweep History requires specific browser permissions:

• History: Required to query and delete specific URLs from your browser history.
• Tabs / WebNavigation: Required to detect when a new page is visited so the "Auto-Delete" feature can check if it needs to be removed.
• Storage: Required to save your settings and blocklist preferences locally.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Gumroad for payment processing and license management. Gumroad may collect personal information (such as your email and payment details) during the purchase process. This data is governed by Gumroad's own Privacy Policy and is not stored by the GhostSweep extension.

6. Data Security

Since we do not maintain a backend database of user browsing history, your data is as secure as your personal computer. We rely on the security measures provided by the Google Chrome browser and your operating system.
